Public Bar

For over 130 years the Public Bar at the Court House Hotel has been the watering hole for Port Douglas locals who have gathered to celebrate the end of the working day, unwind on weekends, have lunch and dinner and socialize with mates. It is the centre of the community. It is actually fair to say that much of the history of Port Douglas has been played out in this grand old bar.

With its open air and tropical feel, the Public Bar has a real Far North Queensland atmosphere. With an abundance of outdoor seating, fox sports on all the big screens, LIVE music daily, Keno, broad selection of Australian and International Beers, Wines and Spirits and friendly service, it is still the best and most welcoming bar in Port Douglas.
